Why are duplicate and invalid numbers 100% free of charge?
Legacy data providers charge for every raw line in your CSV—even when formatting is broken or repeated. Because invalid syntax and duplicate entries can be resolved locally and deterministically, we believe charging for them is unfair. We only charge for fresh external validations or discounted cache hits.
How does the 75% cache discount work and is it secure?
When a number or email was recently verified within the service's freshness TTL, we serve the result from our encrypted tenant cache at a fraction of the cost ($0.004 vs $0.016). Cache keys are derived using one-way HMAC-SHA256 with a private pepper salt, and payloads are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest with a strict 90-day maximum privacy cap.
